MYLONAS WINERY

Mylonas vineyard is located in Laureotiki, in the region of Keratea, and is part of the wider Mesogaia wine-growing area, a historic site famous for its wine since the time of ancient Greece and the symposiums of Plato, Socrates and Aristotle.

The vineyard is highly diversified compared to the rest of Mesogaia, as it has significant advantages in terms of climate, altitude and soil composition.

It is the highest vineyard in Mesogaia, located at the foot of Mount Panion at an altitude of 200-350m, literally embraced by the sea, which gives the vineyard a blessed breeze. The area was known for its mineral wealth from the time of Pericles until the post-war period of the Second World War.  This is the soil that holds the key to the special flavour that makes Mylonas wines stand out.

PIPER HEIDSIECK

Piper-Heidsieck is one of the most famous houses in Champagne. It is renowned for its structured, fruity house style, made predominantly from Pinot Noir, with smaller proportions of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.

The company has its origins in the cloth and wine merchant Heidsieck and Co, founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck. The brand itself was created in 1838 after the marriage of Madame Heidsieck and Henri-Guillaume Piper, but went into a period of decline for the next hundred years. It was revived in the mid-20th century and has since become one of the world's most famous champagnes.

The winery has temperature-controlled cellars and a number of reserve wines, which are used to keep the house style consistent from year to year. The grapes are vinified by variety and by individual plot to allow greater control in the blending process.

HATCH MANSFIELD - ZUCCARDI

Familia Zuccardi is a family-run winery based in the Mendoza region of Argentina, producing wines from the usual varietals as well as the country's first premium Tempranillo.

Founder Alberto Zuccardi moved to Mendoza in the 1940s from Tucuman, where his grandparents had settled after emigrating from Avelino, Italy. Faced with water shortages in the Mendoza region, Alberto experimented with a new irrigation system and, eager to prove it to his neighbours, planted a vineyard in Maipu. The experiment led to Zuccardi becoming one of the most prominent and prosperous wineries in Argentina.

PASCAL JOVILET

Domaine Pascal Jolivet is a wine producer located in the Loire Valley, France. The domaine is known for showcasing the different characteristics of the Loire terroir through a hands-off approach to winemaking and single appellation Sauvignon Blanc bottlings.

The estate has 42 hectares (103.8 acres) in Sancerre, 8 hectares (19.8 acres) in Pouilly-Fumé and 15 hectares (37.1 acres) in Touraine. These 65ha (160 acres) account for 50 per cent of production, with the rest coming from bought-in grapes or grape juice. The grapes - mostly Sauvignon Blanc and some Pinot Noir - are typically hand-harvested and vinified separately according to their origin to allow for terroir expression. Sancerre grapes come from limestone, flint and clay soils, while Pouilly-Fumé grapes come from a wide variety of glacial soils.
